A trip to the USASA National Specialty in 1997 proved exceptionally fruitful with the purchase of our "MY Main Man" son, CH Cobbercrest You're So Vain. Gambit's dam is CH Moonstruck's Hard To Be Humble who was Winners Bitch at the 1st USASA National Specialty.

In September, 1998, Gambit won Reserve Winners Dog at the ASCA National Specialty in Greely, Colorado. He was handled to 1st place American Bred dog by Victoria Davidson while his "owners" were sightseeing at Estes Park in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. In Winners Dog competition the next day, Vikki handled Gambit to Reserve under ASCA Breeder Judge Andrea Blizzard. We were very proud of Gambit and grateful to Vikki for doing such a fine job! No more sightseeing for us at Nationals!

We are thrilled with our champion Gambit daughters CH Thornapple Seminole Wind, co-owned by Victoria Davidson & Erica Prince, CH Thornapple Bubbles Of Love, co-owned by Chelsea Brandenburg,  Future Star Thornapple Russian ToA Party owned by Ellen and Amy and our Best In Show winning Gambit son, CH Thornapple Smokn In Havana.
