HERDING NEWS FROM KAREN & MICHAEL WILSON!  November 25, 2007
Yesterday Michael took Bedford to an AHBA ( American Herding Breeds
Association ) herding trial. He entered him in the HRD 1 ( Herding
Ranch Dog 1 ) class. This is a class that shows the dogs working
ability in a "real" farm setting. The dog and handler must move a
large flock of sheep in and out of different fields over a bridge
through a foot bath and several other things that I've forgotten now.
Anyway, Bedford qualified and finished in third place!!!!! He already
had previously qualified at another trial so this gives Bedford a new
title. He is now officially River Winds Sgt. Rock, HT, PT, HSAs,S TDc, HRD 1
We just couldn't be more pleased!!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS, Karen & Michael!  We are thrilled!

INCREDIBLE ASCA NATIONAL NEWS FROM KAREN WILSON!!!!!
After waiting all day Michael finally called with results from the
ASCA National pre-trial.
I just couldn't be more proud of Bedford and Michael!!!!!!! He was
able to run in all three rings yesterday. He was wait listed for
Sheep and didn't get in until the very last minute.
He scored 76 on Sheep. Michael said he was a bit rowdy!!!!! :-)))
but he qualified. He scored 80 on Ducks!! and qualified. This is
amazing as this is only the second time he's ever seen them. Also,
for those of you who don't heard. Ducks really show a dogs finesse.
Can't be rowdy with the quackenhoffer's :-))) Last but not least he
scored 80 on Cattle for a 2nd place!!!!!!!!! This was only the third
time he'd been on Cattle. He already had one qualifying score from
last Fall. So he earned his STDc ( Started Trial Dog cattle ) There
were 45 runs on Cattle and only 5 dogs qualified. You talk about
proud!!!!!!!!! He missed Combined High in Trial by 2 points!!!!!! :-
((( Michael really wanted that because those are special awards
which are usually fancy belt buckles and Michael really wants one of
those!!!!! LOL!!!! So all in all it was a really successful day. They don't compete
again until later in the week at the National trial. If he qualifies
on Sheep and Ducks at the National trial he could come home with all
three of his Started titles on stock!!!!!!!!! He is well on his way
to becoming a WTCH ( Working Trial Champion )
Ok, I'll stop bragging. But I just couldn't be more proud.

HUGE NEWS! New herding title for .... River Winds Sgt. Rock, HT, HSAs "Bedford"
Thank you Michael Wilson * River Wind Aussies * for completing Bedford's
started title on sheep at the USASA Nationals Herding Trial!  Bedford was co-bred
with Michael & Karen Wilson (dam Thornapple Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya).  Bedford's new herding title,
 along with a started title on sheep for CH Thornapple Hope Diamond, also trialed and titled by Michael,
completes the USASA herding title requirement for us to become a HOF Breeder/Kennel!
We are thrilled beyond belief!  Thank you cannot begin to express our gratitude to Karen & Michael!
