Ami Boxer has GREAT exciting news from Florida:
Riot is on a HOT streak! This weekend we went to the
SFASC show in Stuart, FL and Riot (Thornapple Causin' A Commotion)
took his first points! But not just points! At the AM show on
Saturday he took WD/BOW/BOS, over two AKC Champions
and ASCA major pointed dogs/bitches (2 points)...and
then that afternoon he took WD/BOS (for another 2
points!)...so he is well on his way, the first judge
was an ASCA Breeder Judge, and she said that he has
absolutely stunning movement, "he floats" around the
ring! And wonderful head type! I was very happy for
him!  My red dog, who has 10 Major ASCA points took RWD at
the second show to Riot and then today took
WD/BOW/BOB! It is his first BOB win, for another 3
point major, so he is only two singles out from his
ASCA Ch. Needless to say we had a fantastic weekend.
Hope you all had a great time at the shows this
week...  Congratulations Ami! Thank you to Judges:
ASCA Breeder Judge Sandy Rees - WD/BOW/BOS
AKC Judge - Shirley Triplett - WD/BOS

And another good weekend for Goose.  Kathryn Ross-Nash reports
that "Goose" Thornapple Wing Man of Te Amos
took Winners Dog under M. Gladstone for an ASCA 3 point major!

Steve Seeler checks in from Illinois:

This past weekend Zak (Thornapple Blue Crush) entered one day of a trial.  He qualified and took
 first in standard!

We had a chance to take some fun photos this weekend!
The Old Fort Cluster is held at the Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Coliseum grounds is home to the gravesite of Johnny Appleseed.
It has been years since we've taken photos at John's grave.
This year, we took a few minutes to snap some photographs.
To view the photos, take a look at new
Photo Album #13

October 23 & 24

The leaves are almost gone.  Winter is just around the corner.

We enjoyed a nice weekend at home.  We planted maple trees in the dog yard & welcomed LaDew babies into the world.

Shamba took the weekend off for a much deserved mini vacation.

Kathryn Ross-Nash was busy in New York.  Kathryn reports:

Just a note on an exhausting weekend...ASCA show - Mav went RWD to a 5 point major under
one of my favorite judges, Deb St. Jacques.  The next day he was kicked in the bottom
as his little boy Goose went RWD to a five point major under Susan Moorehead.
There were so many beautiful dogs there.  Deb St. Jacques' beautiful black boy, Demitri,  went
winners dog.  Goose was put up over MANY lovely dogs.  I was sooooo happy. He showed like a
dream and used himself so well!!!

Ana Herrera reports an exciting weekend win for Thornapple Hot Topic:

Well, after a long break, we came back this weekend to the dog shows here. Not bad for my crazy Aussie ;-) .
Epi will be until next year in Young Class (9-18 months) and he can compete for the BOB but not take any point
for the championship. On Saturday at Vélez-Málaga National Dog Show he won Best Young of Breed and Best of Breed.
Later he was Best of Group (his first Group with only 13 months old!) and at the Young's finals he was Best Young of Group
and Best Young in Show !!! On Sunday at Vélez-Málaga International Dog Show he won Best Young of Breed
and Best of Breed.  Later he was in the cut for the 4 best dog of Group and at the Young's finals he was
Best Young of Group and Reserve of Best Young in Show !!!  Not bad at all! ;-).   Hugs.  Ana & Epi

Phoenix took RCC dog and Best Puppy and Group 1 puppy and Best Puppy in Show!!!! Jeff loved him ...
but he only managed to judge Aussies and then was rushed to hospital as he had terrible chest pains ....
ended up that he was scheduled to have a triple bypass heart surgery on Monday ...
and ended up they operated on Sunday as they said it was too life threatening to leave it
any longer.  His wife is flying out today ... he is very fortunate he is in South Africa as some of the top cardiologists
are here and he is great hands!!  The Irish judge gave Phoenix the group and Best in Show!!

and 4th Best puppy in Show!!  Well that is the end of our showing season .... now only Nationals in a few weeks time.
Wynonna hung onto #1 Herding Dog and #1 bitch for the year and should be in the top 10 All breeds .... these are the
All breeds ratings here.  The first weekend it was lovely to see all the Dollar children standing in the line-up for Best of Breed ....
we had CC Dog, Champion dog, CC Bitch and Champion bitch ... what a nice feeling when you bred the entire line up
and it doesn't matter who gets BOB out of them all!!  Well that is all for now ... hope you are all well and are doing some
nice winning of your own.  Keep me posted.  Lots of Love
 Natasha
