Malissa Castro ... owner of Ch Thornapple Chocolate Lily ... shares her life
with rescued Alaskan wildlife at the
Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.

.  She sent us incredible photos taken by Gary Lackie!  We just have to share!!!

Some of you have seen Malissa on Animal Planet episodes that feature her Wildlife Conservation Center in Alaska.

The photos are taken by Alaskan Wildlife Conservation member, Gary Lackie.
Below, is Gary's response to Malissa's request for permission to use his photos
and my request for info on his camera and lenses:

Hi! Malissa;
I'll be happy to get some burned to a CD for you. Are the calendars 8.5x11 or 9x12?
Would you want just horizontal shots or both horizontal and vertical?
That would be okay if your friend in Michigan wants to put some up on her website.
I am also from Michigan. Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. So, that would be kind of neat.
Maybe, somebody I know from back there will see them. My camera is a Canon 20D digital.
 I really like it. I just got a new lens for it and I think it will  make getting good sharp pictures even easier.
 It is the Canon EF 70-200mm L Series F2.8 IS lens. The IS is for Image Stabilizer. My other lens didn't
 have that feature. I also use the Canon 1.4X Extender with that lens quite often. I'll check out her website
 tonight. If you know of any photos in particular that you want me to be sure to include that would help.
Best wishes. Gary
