experience in Midland, Michigan. This is their first visit to the States.
They were thrilled to meet their boys, Lunar & Glidden. Niklas did a
great
job handling Glidden at the Friday evening puppy match
and in the Winners Dog class on Sunday.

Bailey won't tell who the sire of her "puppies" is! DNA testing may be in
order!
Congratulations, Carolyn Zernick, on winning PHOTO OF THE WEEK!
AS USUAL ... while we were
home,
others were working around the world!
Oh ... where do we start! Such an exciting weekend!!!
Thornapple Mythical SkyDancer "Bliss" wins her puppy class of 8 entries
at her first show in Belgium!
Bliss is owned by Bianca & Jacco Heideveld.
It’s half past 12 so past midnight,
and we just came back from the show!!! I was very impressed with the quality
of the dogs entered there, a total of 58 young Aussies. I’ve seen many good
dogs, have really not seen so many
good Aussies before!!!
Bliss won her class!!!!!!!!!!!
YES!!!! There were 8 bitches in this class and there really were some
stunning ones. Than she was
with the last 3 bitches, which was won by a Canadian Import Champion bitch,
Ch. Highrails Just Cream no Sugar. By than Bliss really had enough of it, but it
was 5 o’clock in the afternoon!! So we had
been up for 12 hours already, Bliss didn’t want to show anymore, can’t
blame her. I’m very happy with how well she did
especially knowing she really had tough competition!!
I don’t have her critique yet,
but the Belgian Aussie Club promised
they would send it by email, also we took photo’s, I hope I have them in 2
days.
Thanks so much for the lovely card
you sent,
that was so sweet of you!!!
Now off to bed, I’m exhausted!!

Okay, mom ... I did good! Can we go home now?
Ch Thornapple Hot Temptation "Zippo" wins the Junior Group at his first show in New
Zealand,
just a few days out of quarantine! Congratulations Di & Alan Falconer on
your great weekend!
Well this weekend went very well. Attached
are photos taken at the show (well some of them anyway) and some that I
will no doubt put up on my site for him. He discovered the dog van
on Friday and wanted to get in immediately, but thoroughly
enjoyed his bath and blow dry, and then slept in the kennels with all the
others going to the show. Saturday we were up early (3am)
and drove the 4 hours to Kawerau. He slept most of the way (a super
traveler he is) and was really excited when we got there.
We had to get everything set up and then it was time for a good groom and
preparation for the show etc etc. You know the drill.
Anyway, he was quite at home and jumped onto the table for us to brush. Well
to cut a long story short, he got Best of Breed
after winning the Dog CC (8 needed to become a champion) and we went in for
the Group and he was short-listed in the top 4.
Well he did not get Best of Group or Reserve but came away with Junior of
Group!!! 1st show out!!! Today he once again got
Best of Breed (another CC as well) but did not place at all in the Group/ He
did however seem a little flat today compared to yesterday,
and considering that he has just spent 30 day in quarantine, not surprised
that he is a little tired tonight. I am so proud of my boy.
Got lots of compliments from people about him and many on his lovely movement.
Thank you so much once again for Zippo -
he is stunning but you knew that all along. Di
Good News from Kathy Remington in
Oregon!
Skylar (Thornapple Sky's The Limit) had his day today under Sr ASCA
Breeder
Judge, Ginger Abbott. We were winners dog for a 3 pt major!!!! She likes those
reds.
BOB was a red bitch. Congrats on Zippo's first show!!! Wow, you guys must
be really
excited. Well off to bed for me, Mothers Day was very exciting. Kathy
Kathryn Ross-Nash reports in from
the Trenton, NJ dog shows!
Judge Terri DePietro fell in love with this little
Thornapple man.
The day before he had went reserve to a 4or 5 point major, The Judge was
McCann (sweet sweet sweet). She said it was the toughest decision she had to
make all day. Being out of the puppy class did not help. Anyhow- My friend,
Becky< who is a handler- asked me if she could put Goose on the table. What
she did to his tail- well I almost died(we will discuss that at a later
date). She pulled out her Mars and went to work. About 5 minutes later-
there he was. So adult and handsome- spoken like a true Mommy. (It was
Mothers Day- so I was a little mushy). She then offered to take him in so I
could actually see what my boy looks like in the ring. She said" I know you
don't let anyone on your dogs, but can I take him in tomorrow? Then you can
see him move." I agreed. When I got finished grooming on Monday- I looked at
him.
He looked so lovely. In the ring he showed like a dream. Walking right
into his stack,
his foot timing lovely and his presence made him look at you. Goose will show
for
anyone. He was passed around as a pup when he was on his leash.
The Judge loved him!! Afterwards- when we were getting photo's she said she
was truly considering him for breed- over Spencer and Simon (Propwash
Speakeasy and Briarbrooks I'm too sexy). She commented that the dogs in the
ring (Excaliber was with me) were truly exceptional and she was proud to
have judge them. She is an ASCA breed Judge as well. After the photo she
told me to bring him back to her, she loved him and that this dog was going
to be a specials dog. I know it isn't a best of breed- or a group and surely not
best in show- as some of you have a lot. But Goose is my special angel.
Ellen
and Amy can tell you how I feel head over heels in love with him at site. On the
computer. I have 4 other aussies ( his daddy, uncle, grannie and my first)
But he is my Goose man. So sweet and gentle- so good and biddable. A BOW and
to be consider for breed with such amazing company is like winning BIS to me.
Thanks
for listening to my little saga. We will take a little time off from the
ring now
and do sheepies and get ready for Nationals. Kath

from Candy & Erika in Boon,
Michigan:
Well, it's not often that I get to brag -- REALLY brag
-- about a
weekend show. Now is the time!!! Our darling little red-head Sedona
(Thornapple Sedona Sunset) won BEST OF
BREED Saturday at Birch Run AND
went on to
win BEST OF BREED again on Sunday! We were flying in the clouds. She
didn't get a group placement, but she was about as perfect as one
could ask for. She
asked for that placement, but just didn't get it.
Oh, well -- next time! Just had to share. Candy (and a very tired Erika and
Sedona)
Debbie & Maria Neff report in from Ohio:

Zippo's new home in New Zealand. The
first matter of business for Mr. Zippo ...
mark all the bushes & steal Di's chair!
Good News from Di in New Zealand!
Other news from this side is that I have just arrived home from the
Kennels
and Zippo - Ch Thornapple Hot Temptation is
with me!!!!
Yes he has been released from quarantine and we can now start to get
really well acquainted and start having fun and with some luck, kick some
butt here in the show ring!
Guess what Jayne did on her
weekend!
Jayne climbed Mt. Snowdon in
Wales!
Mount Snowdon is in Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.
It is the highest Mountain in Wales
at 1085 metres high. It changes from rolling pasture to steep slate paths
to the last piece that is literally a scramble
up to the top. There is an easy way up there which is a train that runs
some times during the year and there is a cafe
up on the top. BUT we had to pick a bad weather day wouldn't ya just
know it all was closed when we got there
but the sense of achievement was great !!! Cant wait to do Ben Nevis 1344 metres high in July .. the Highest Mountain
in
Scotland and the whole of the UK.
Jayne enjoys the view from the top!
Climbing Mt. Snowdon in Wales!
And the Brandenburg boys enjoyed the last day of April with
the arrival of their "new" toy,
a Johnson Band Saw purchased on Ebay.
