Bianca sends photos of holiday in Austria!!  Bliss & Mio (Bliss x Lorenzo) loved every minute!
Yes, we were on a holiday.......can't keep anything secret here ;-))))))))))
It was so beautiful in Austria, with all the beautiful autumn colours!!!! We
had a very nice week in a luxury hotel.......great food, swimming pool,
sauna...and the Aussies were so lucky that they could come along. They
didn't appreciate the sauna, swimming pool or food though....just the
scenery and wonderful walks in the mountains! Have a nice weekend and
Anna-Lena & Marie, I hope you have a wonderful trip!  Love, Bianca

GOODBYE GOOD FRIENDS!!!!!!
October 23 *** We are sad to say ADIOS to our dear friends, Anna-Lena & Marie!
Our visit was the BEST!  We also say goodbye to Boom & Chauncey who will spend the
next two years with Easy Australian Shepherds - Anna-Lena & Niklas Munkvall in Sweden.
Miss Olivia and Major will join them later.  We will be sure to take Olivia & Major for a
run & a swim every day! *** Anna-Lena called & Marie wrote on October 24th ... they arrived
home safely after terrible turbulence on their flight home.  The dogs weathered it well and
are happy to be on the other side of the big pond!

Boom, Major & Olivia enjoyed their daily runs on the farm and swims in the pond with Anna-Lena & Marie!

U-CDX, AG1 Thornapple's Summer Breeze Am CDX Can/ASCA CD,NA,NAJ, CGC, ThD,VCCX,FFXAP,FFXAG
A Breeze update from Betsy Hamkens ** Breeze still loves to retrieve even if her frail body says she
shouldn't.Also works hard on her obedience when I am training the boys. Still wants to be included.
She will be 12 on December 14.

Thornapple Diamond In The Clouds "Cloud"
I have been experiencing some wonderful and different things about Cloud.  Just a couple examples:
He is so very smart and does not miss a trick.  I know the aussies are all smart but I mean in a very
different way with Cloud. He sees things that the others miss, and yes, even my "Golden Child" Rain:))))
misses. He is going to be a grand obedience dog since he is so attentive to me, wants to work with me and
is aware of other dogs around him but does not have the overwhelming desire to check them out which in
obedience competition is a great asset when you are trialing in a crowded area.  When all four aussies are
out in the yard, it is Cloud that is so very interested in being with me the most and wanting to work for me.
He is a keen retriever with endless energy.  He has a lot of power and speed and a long stride which he uses
and covers ground effortlessly. When he plays, sometimes he lays on his back and uses his front paws to hold
his toy or chew like we would with our hands.  He also uses his front paws to bat things around like a cat would.
He uses his nose like a shovel and pushes toys all over the ground.  Apples, sticks, balls, field bumpers anything
he is playing with he will push with his nose. One last thing he does is when he comes out to play he sometimes
does turns like a cutting horse does, wheels around on his back legs and has a toy in his mouth which he whirls
like a shot put. He twirls around with all four feet off the ground and changes directions in a heartbeat.

A NEW PUPPY for the Havice Family!
They welcome Thornapple Hemi Power "Hemi" into their arms ** October 22
I couldn’t be happier with Hemi!  He is such a gem and such a loveable friend!   He cuddled with me the whole way home.
instantly made friends with his other two “housemates”, Roxy and Riley.  They just came in from playing and romping in the
backyard. He also walked to school with me to pick up my son and had a ball with everyone.  He causes quite the stir with the
kids. He and I are going to be very close friends.  My wife Pam said she can see him bonding with me already…he keeps such a
close eye on me now. Thank you so much for trusting me to have Hemi!  I feel very blessed to have him. One thing I did want to
ask, how much at this time are you feeding Hemi?  I want to stay as consistent as I can with him.  I will be happy to send pictures
as he grows up if you want to see them.  I have a couple of him when he arrived home with us. Enjoy! Sincerely, Tim Havice

Thornapple Angel In My Arms "Leah"
We are so very sorry for your tragic loss of Leah to cancer at 10 years young.
Angel was truly God's Angel in your arms. She will remain in our hearts forever.

October 21, 2007 * Thank you so much for talking to me today!  It brought me great joy to speak to the people who made Leah
possible to me. She meant the world to our family and we are devastated at her loss.  I doubt I would even consider purchasing
another from someone else after my experiences with Leah, talking to you, and seeing your website. It is truly obvious of your love
and devotion to the breed! Here are a couple pictures of my “baby”.  She was absolutely 1 in a million!!!! I can honestly say she
changed our lives forever! Sincerely, Tim Havice

Please consider a donation to ASHGI to further cancer research.

Sweet Miss Leah

HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!  We have visitors from Sweden!!

October 18 *** WELCOME Anna-Lena Munkvall & Marie Johannson!!!!
Amy, Shayna, Austen, Debbie, Maria, Vikki & Kelly will join us this weekend
for a dog show and a visit with our Swedish friends!  Anna-Lena & Marie will
depart Tuesday for Denmark, the first leg of their journey home.  Joining them
will be Boom, Chauncey & Major.  In addition to our Swedish visitors,
we are also hosting the Ryan Young Trials School. 20 Observed Trials riders will be
camping at our farm and participating in 2 days of intense Observed Trials instruction.
We will have an exciting weekend!
Thank you, Marie, for the beautiful crystal moose!  It will brighten our guest room,
the Moose Room!  And thank you, Anna-Lena & Niklas, for the MOOSE CROSSING
sign that hangs on the Moose Room door!  Anna-Lena tells us that moose sometimes
help themselves to their garden in Sweden. They must be very careful when they turn
the dogs out. Moose can be very ornery and trample a dog if not in a good Moose Mood!!!

the last sunflower of the season!
